Introduction into exhibition
Music has not its own body. We face with troubles trying to describe it. Any kind of recording music by means of letters, sonoristic scores, notes on sheets of music try to proove that sounds can be reproduced in static image. Since the emergence of the phonograph, typically writing music recording techniques are extended technical camera recording of reality similar to daguerreotype. It was then that an idea is born in the form of presentation of the sound wave. Since the invention of the phonograph to the modern digital recording studio, there are a number of devices to be able to see the sound, stop the disseminational nature in a reduction. This includes oscilloscopes, spectra, spectrum analyzers sound. As soon as the movie came the sound as a full participant, from about 1924, began to wonder about the possible simultaneous display konskekwencjami abstract light spots with specific tones. Appeared engineers who built the appropriate keyboard, the so-called light piano. Music is in these contexts as something elusive, but giving caught in the trap of rationality, especially in the form of technical apparatus. Nowadays artists strive for these efforts have enriched my exact solutions, to a greater extent unexpected and surprising side effects ranging in synaesthesia and transcoding. Synesthesia is the combination of different sensory registers and transcoding is the conversion of some data from one format to another or from one register to another sense. Drawing music is an issue that allows unilateral or symmetrical relationship between the visual and the auditory. It's not just about recording ambient sound, his record, it's about showing the relationship between the creative sounds and certain visual qualities. Music is created here a higher order of sounds, their composition, which takes as its starting point some agreement as to how to translate shapes, lines, colors or letters and numbers on the value of rhythmic agogiczne, tone, etc. The project aims to create a situation of communication between artists who deal with sound and audio-visual concept. That situation will lead to the preparation of the exhibition, which will consist objects and installations showing the creative blending of sound and visual records with strict regard to issues present in the form of music, drawing, graphics, animation, or other techniques, digital or analog. Additional objectives of the collaboration are leading the invited artists to exchange experiences and share knowledge.
